By Neil Visalvanich

In lieu of the Oscars, I decided it was time for me to move on from being a simple movie enthusiast to an actual moviemaker. That being the case, I did what all aspiring film writers do -- rehash old popular movie ideas ...

King of Pop Should Quit Clowning Around

By Henry Sarria

I hate drama and have no patience or desire for it. Just get to the point and move on. And so begins this circus of the Michael Jackson child molestation trial in Santa Maria. I pity the poor residents of that enclave. A...

I read the article titled "The Death of Interaction" by Conor Boyland (Daily Nexus, Feb. 25). Great article! In fact -- and I write this in my best imitation of David Spade's "Spade in America" skit on SNL -- I really li...

He Said, She Said: Steady Wins the Race When it Comes to Getting Sloshed

By Sean Swaby

It's taken several years of beer bashes, steinhoists, keggers and AA meetings to fortify my iron liver. Occasionally, some beer-toting heavyweight will sit behind the counter of some liquor depository and reminisce of th...

He Said, She Said: Life as a Lightweight Means Lighting-Fast Liquor Laughs

I.V. Foot Patrol Should Cut Bikers a Break

By Zachary Hill

I write this as a plea to my fellow residents of Isla Vista. This will not be a much-anticipated political debate over the validity of Iraqi invasion. Nor will it be a long-winded argument contesting the use of stem cell...

I was recently chatting with a friend about how cartoons these days are so different from back when we were kids. Both of us reached the conclusion that new television cartoons really do suck. Apparently, some A-hole the...

The Songs of Seduction

By Dave Franzese

As I stood face-to-face with the sexiest accountant I had ever seen, we began to strip the clothes off of one another. It really is a beautiful thing when an English student and a number-cruncher hook up - I called her l...
