Isla Vista’s COVID-19 Numbers Remain Low After Students Move Back for In-Person Instruction

UCSB has reported 57 positive COVID-19 cases since Sept. 19. Three of these cases have been from UCSB employees, two from graduate students and the remaining 52 cases were from undergraduates.

Burglary was the most common crime in 2020 with 36 cases, an increase of 18 cases from the previous year. Of the 18 additional cases, 17 occurred on campus but not in student housing.
