El Centro and EAP host ‘Maletas y Paletas’
El Centro and the Education Abroad Program (EAP) are hosting “Maletas y Paletas” on Thursday, April 10, from 4-5 p.m. at El Centro.
Maletas y Paletas is Spanish for suitcases and popsicles. Students will be able to enter a raffle for a free suitcase at the event.
Students who are interested in attending may RSVP at the link on Shoreline to attend. Free popsicles and drinks will be provided.
Graduate Student Resource Center holds Wine and Cheese Networking Event
The Graduate Student Resource Center is holding a Wine and Cheese Networking Event on Thursday, April 10, from 4:30-6 p.m. in Library Room 1312 and the Mountain Courtyard.
“This is an opportunity to unwind, connect with fellow grad students and faculty, and build your networking skills in a casual setting,” the Shoreline description read.

RCSGD hosts ‘Bi Us For Us: Conversations in Community’
The Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity (RCSGD) is hosting “Bi Us For Us: Conversations in Community” on Thursday, April 10, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the RCSGD lounge.
“We’ll be alternating between bringing UCSB’s bi+ folks together with silly fun or with space to talk about whatever’s on your mind (or in your heart!),” the Shoreline description read.
“Bi Us For Us” will be recurring every Thursday this quarter. This event is a “closed space discussion circle for bi+ students,” according to Shoreline.
RCSGD and OISS hold QT International Brunch
RCSGD and the Office of International Students & Scholars (OISS) are holding a Queer and Trans (QT) International Brunch on Friday, April 11, from 9:30-11 a.m. in the OISS Conference Room.

Health & Wellness hosts men’s body image event
Health & Wellness is hosting a men’s body image event for students on Friday, April 11, from 1:30-3 p.m. in the Student Resource Building (SRB) Room 1220.
“The Men’s Body Project offers support to men impacted by pressures to meet unrealistic appearance standards and body image issues. Through group discussions and exercises, participants navigate challenges while cultivating a positive and healthy body image,” the Shoreline description read.
This event is targeted towards nontraditional and graduate students. Students may register at the link on Shoreline to attend.
TQCOMM holds Queer Prom
The Associated Students (A.S.) Trans & Queer Commission (TQCOMM) is holding a Queer Prom on Friday, April 11, from 9 p.m. to midnight at the Isla Vista Community Center.

UCSB Reads and Health & Wellness are hosting a speed friending on Monday, April 14, from 4-5 p.m. in Library Room 1312.
“Participants will be provided with a set of questions based on the UCSB Reads 2025 book selection, The Book of Delights by Ross Gay, and engage in a fun activity designed to foster new connections,” the Shoreline description read.
