Information is primarily sourced from community alerts from the 805 UndocuFund, a local nonprofit that verifies Immigration and Customs Enforcement sightings in the Central Coast. No sightings reported since May 11 on Figueroa and Santa Barbara Street (8:50 a.m.)

In the past month, the reported sighting on May 11 has been the only time Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) activity was reported in Santa Barbara, marking a significant decline from the 12 documented sightings in April. Of the April reports, there was an average frequency of one sighting every 2.5 days, or approximately three sightings per week. Nine of these sightings occurred at the Santa Barbara County Jail, two sightings were reported at the nearby Veterans’ Affairs clinic and one occurred at the Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor of California (S.C.R.A.M) office on West Carrillo Street.

During the April 30 sighting report at the S.C.R.A.M. office, a violent altercation occurred between a rapid response volunteer and I.C.E. agents. Since that interaction, only one sighting has been reported in nearly four weeks.
