Pilipino Cultural Night is hosting a Pilipino Cultural Night Pop-up Market on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lot 22 lawn next to Pardall Tunnel.

Vendors will be fundraising for the Pilipino Cultural Night.

Undocumented Student Services holds UndocuAlly Presentation

Undocumented Student Services is holding an UndocuAlly Presentation on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 12-1 p.m. at the Career Service Building room 1109.

“Join the USS + Dream Scholars Resource Team (DSRT) to learn about the unique obstacles undocumented students and students from mixed-status families face, how to be an ally, and show your to support immigration-impacted communities at UCSB,” the Shoreline description read.

UCSB Sustainability hosts “IV Compost Collective: Help Build Compost Curing Stations” volunteering

UCSB Sustainability is hosting an “IV Compost Collective: Help Build Compost Curing Stations” volunteering event on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 1-3 p.m. at St. Michael’s Community Garden.

“During this event, you will assist Compost Collective Staff in building an area where we can store finished compost. This will allow us to make room for even more food scraps!” the Shoreline description read.

Participants are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes and “clothes you don’t mind getting a little bit dirty.”

A.S. Trans & Queer Commission holds QTBIPOC Air Dry Ceramics

The Associated Students (A.S.) Trans & Queer Commission is holding an air-dry ceramics event on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Pardall Center.

This event is intended for queer and trans students of color. Supplies and snacks will be provided.

S.E.A. club hosts seizure first aid certification

The Supporting Epilepsy Awareness (S.E.A.) club is hosting seizure first aid certification on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Social Science and Media Studies building rooms 1303 and 1304.

“A FREE online course through the Epilepsy Foundation of America will be utilized, with an accredited certification upon completion,” the Shoreline description read.

Students are encouraged to bring headphones. The certification will take around 90 minutes to complete.

Health & Wellness holds “Pass the Plate: Kimbap with AS Food Bank”

Health & Wellness is holding “Pass the Plate: Kimbap with AS Food Bank” on Friday, Feb. 21, from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Student Resource Building (SRB) Multipurpose Room (MPR).

“Let’s make kimbap together! Join Health & Wellness and the A.S. Food Bank to learn how to prepare this delicious Korean snack that you can enjoy with friends or take on-the-go,” the Shoreline description read.

All ingredients will be provided. The kimbap recipe uses seafood and eggs.

A.S. Trans & Queer Commission is hosting Winter Wonder Drag on Friday, Feb. 21, from 8-10 p.m. at the University Center Hub.

“Showgoers will be entered in a raffle and 3 lucky winners will each be gifted $80 dollar gift cards to either gc2b, En Femme, or Spectrum Boutique!” the Shoreline description read.

This event is free for everyone. Attendees are encouraged to tip the performers in cash.

The MultiCultural Center (MCC) is hosting Sunday Dinner with FoodNotBombsIV on Sunday, Feb. 23, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Little Acorn Park.

“This initiative promotes solidarity, sustainability, and mutual aid, offering delicious plant-based meals to all. Come by, share a meal, and connect with our community in the spirit of care and inclusivity,” the Shoreline description read.

This event is open to everyone. Free vegan dinners will be provided.

UCSB Sustainability holds “Showers of Blessing: Resource Kit Preparation and Distribution” volunteering

UCSB Sustainability is holding a “Showers of Blessing: Resource Kit Preparation and Distribution” volunteering event on Monday, Feb. 24, from 12-3 p.m. at St. Michael’s Community Garden.

“Join Showers of Blessings and UCSB Edible Campus Program to pack bags of resources such as hygiene supplies (toothbrushes and toothpaste, menstrual products, etc), socks, and other things that may be helpful for neighbors who are currently unhoused. Then help distribute these at the weekly Showers of Blessings Event and meet some of your unhoused neighbors,” the Shoreline description read.

The first hour of this event is reserved for packaging resource kits while the final two hours are reserved for distribution.

Health & Wellness hosts “Breathe with Me”

Health & Wellness is hosting “Breathe with Me” on Monday, Feb. 24, from 3-3:30 p.m. at the meditation garden between the Library and Bioengineering Building.

“Join us in the Meditation Garden for a break on your busy Monday! We will learn a breathing exercise and be guided in a short meditation,” the Shoreline description read.

This event is open to everyone of all meditation experience levels.

San Clemente Villages holds karaoke night

San Clemente Villages is holding a karaoke night Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 6-8 p.m. at San Clemente Center.

This event is free to attend. Free snacks and drinks will be provided.

Women’s Center hosts “Are you a Bad Feminist? (that’s okay)”

The Women’s Center[[ok]] is hosting “Are you a Bad Feminist? (that’s okay)” on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 3-4 p.m. at the Women’s Center in the SRB.

“Join us to discuss what it means to be a “bad feminist” defined by Roxane Gay’s 2014 best seller ‘Bad Feminist,’” the Shoreline description read.

Free donuts and screen printed shirts will be provided. Students do not have to have read “Bad Feminist” to attend.
