Santa Rosa Residence Hall hosts Sweet Notes n’ S’mores

Santa Rosa Residence Hall is hosting a Sweet Notes n’ S’mores event on Thursday, Feb. 6, from 4:45-6:45 p.m. at the Santa Rosa Residence Hall Lounge 1152.

“This will provide a space for individuals to de-stress, unwind, spread love, positivity, gratitude, and appreciation within their community/ies, and enjoy a sweet treat in between classes/toward the ends of their days as the week comes to a close and we approach Valentine’s Day!” the Shoreline description read.

NSU hosts Winter Festival

Nikkei Student Union (NSU) is hosting a Winter Festival on Friday, Feb. 7, from 4-6 p.m. at the Student Resource Building bike path lawn.

“We will be selling homemade mochi, spam musubi, soba noodles, matcha lattes, and more,” the Shoreline description read.

Walter H. Capps Center is hosting What Kaʻahumanu Taught Me with Yale University professor of religion and visual culture Sally Promey on Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Betty Elings Wells Pavilion in the Faculty Club.

“The public display of religion has been fundamental to the shape of the American state. Two case studies, Kawaiahaʻo Church in Honolulu and the so-called Peace Cross just outside Washington, D.C., show how ‘material establishment’ has situated White Christianity as its default,” the Shoreline description read.

A.S. Media Center and Creative Media Unit are hosting a Valentine’s Sticker Making Workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 1-2 p.m. at the A.S. Media Center building 434, room 141.

“Learn how to use Adobe Illustrator to create and then print your own Mapache and Storkie Valentine’s Day stickers,” the Shoreline description read.

MCC, OBSD holds third annual Black Flea Market

The MultiCultural Center (MCC) and the Office of Black Student Development (OBSD) are holding the third annual Black Flea Market on Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 5-7 p.m. at the MCC lounge.

“Join us in honoring the richness of Black culture and history during our third annual Black Flea Market,” the Shoreline description read.
