The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is holding a forum titled Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Forum: Promoting Latine Excellence & Servingness on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 12-4 p.m. at Corwin Pavilion.
The event will include an HSI grant showcase and a panel discussion about “envisioning servingness at UCSB.”

The Women’s Center is hosting a What to Expect at the Gyno: Don’t Ovary Think About It informational presentation on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 1-2 p.m. at the SRB Women’s Center Community Room 1220.
“If you’ve ever been nervous at the thought of going to see your gynecologist or have general questions that you would like to answer then join us for an informational presentation of what is to be expected from an appointment at the gynecologist,” the Shoreline description read.
The presentation will be led by Angie Magaña and Kellie DeLozier from UCSB Student Health Service. Pizza will be provided.

The Edible Campus Program is holding a Building a Connection with Nature Workshop on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 4-5 p.m. at the UCSB Greenhouse and Garden Project.
“Come chill with us and use this garden as a safe space to reflect on your thoughts and emotions. Through a series of exercises, explore your natural environment and learn more about the plants and animals around you,” the event description read.

The Graduate Student Association is hosting a Welcome (Back) Party on Friday, Oct. 18, from 6-10 p.m. at Mosher Alumni House.
