Between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, multiple buildings on and around campus were tagged with graffiti, commenting on political issues such as globalization. Campus officials began covering the vandalism soon thereafter although graffiti still remained well into the afternoon. Notable locations on campus were tagged including the UCen, the Arbor, Storke plaza, and the Pardall tunnel.

I wish you wouldn’t feed the vandals by publishing photos of their destructive efforts. I’m tired of the self-important anarchists who think hundreds of dollars of damage to a broke institution will somehow advance their cause. I consider myself a liberal, but every time I see our beautiful campus defaced I find more and more sympathy with the other side.
Like the commenter above, I am a liberal who is somewhat skeptical of free-for-all globalization. But guess what? Paul Wolfowitz and other millionaire masters of the universe aren’t coming to clean that up. Guess who is? It’s some maintenance guy who makes $9 / hour cleaning up after entitled little sh**s who read the first 5 pages of a Noam Chomsky book for Intro to Global Studies.
I truly hate the damage done to any building by disrespectful knuckle heads.
Why don’t we have a “Speakers Corner” like they do in the parks in England? There should be a place where one can speak their truth and debate intelligently….or are we too violent to be able to exercise real FREEDOM OF SPEECH?
I believe Ayn Rand was dead wrong, myself.

Well, I take it your going to a public university subsidized by the creative people of CA and the US.
