Women’s Cross Country Places Fifth at West Regionals
At the NCAA West Regional in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday, UCSB cross country ran well against the best teams from the west. The women’s team finished fifth out of 31 teams, behind Washington, Oregon, Stanford, Arizona, and tied with Cal, beating the likes of USF, Cal Poly, and UCLA.
Scoring Duo Not Enough at Oregon Tourney
The UCSB men’s basketball team lost two of its three games at Oregon’s BTI tournament to open its regular season, beating Denver 65-49 on Friday night but losing 68-60 to North Dakota State on Saturday and 72-70 against Oregon in a nail-biter on Sunday.
UCSB Takes Home Meet v. Cal Poly
UCSB swimming and diving faced its toughest competition of the season so far when Cal Poly came to Campus Pool on Saturday. Both the men’s and women’s teams finished the meet with overall victories, 155-141 and 157-141 respectively.
