Facebook just asked me “How likely are you to recommend Facebook to a friend?” Is that a trick question? I mean, I thought you weren’t officially friends with someone until it was made clear by adding them on Facebook. And while I say that tongue in cheek, there is a disturbing trend of things not being official until they’re on that God-forsaken Web site anyway. Like a party is only for-sure on if it’s put on Facebook, and you’re only actually dating someone if your relationship status is changed to match. “OMG, is it Facebook official?” Yeah, just like every chick I’ve ever known being engaged to her best friend. Totally official.
