Does anyone out there know why the airlines switched back to regular pretzels as the in-flight snack? Personally, I was much happier with the new generation of mustard pretzels, assorted nuts and cheddar goldfish that they started serving a few years back. I don’t know why some airlines switched back, but I’m pretty bitter. Regular pretzels suck. It’s like licking a dry piece of cardboard that someone glued salt onto. All it does is lead to that awkward situation where you have to push that little button and ask the flight attendant for a second drink, and, let’s face it, nobody wants to be part of that confrontation.
