UCSB, Isla Vista Locations Close in Response to Poor Air Quality

Several locations on the UC Santa Barbara campus and in Isla Vista have closed due to poor air quality as a result of the Thomas Fire burning in Ventura County, while others are operating with limited services.

The map below shows locations in I.V. and on campus that are closed Friday or providing limited services.

The following departments will be closed Friday:

  • Campus Learning Assistance Services (CLAS)

The A.S. Pardall Center in Isla Vista will RE-OPEN this evening from 5PM-MIDNIGHT (assuming the air quality doesn’t get worse). Go by to pick up a N95 mask or get some studying done. There are free snacks and scantrons.
