Friday (6/29): Artsweek has said it once and we’ll say it again: Make sure you check out Carol Burnett at Campbell Hall at 8 p.m. This comic genius has mastered almost every entertainment medium out there, and has made millions of people laugh in the process. Wednesday (7/11): Today is the first day to check out Andy Warhol Presents at the University Art Museum on campus. This exhibit examines the connection between commerce and art in Warhol’s work, and it features reproductions of window displays Warhol did in New York during the early period of his career. It also showcases a variety of illustrations by the pop art icon. The University Art Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m., and admission is free.

Thursday (7/12): Take in some swamp music, as the remaining members of Lynryd Skynyrd bring their Southern rock swagger straight to the Chumash Casino stage. Tickets range from $75 to $145 for the 8 p.m. show, and more information is available at www.chumashcasino.com.

Sunday (7/15): Savor some sassy blues in the late afternoon sunshine, as Lady Blue & the Roadhouse Daddies play a free concert in Alameda Park. Tuesday (7/17): Indie rock fans will swoon for Snow Patrol, playing with special guests Hot Hot Heat at the Santa Barbara Bowl today. Saturday (7/28): Indulge your passion for poetry at the 7th Annual Santa Barbara Summer Poetry Workshop this weekend. The workshop is being led by Perie Longo, and it happens at 4 p.m. today through Monday at Westmont College. Santa Barbara’s Poet Laureate Barry Spacks, as well as David Starkey, Grace Rachow and Mary Rose Betten will all be speaking. More information is available at (805) 955-1423.
