An individual was sexually assaulted along an unnamed paved access road located between Slough Road and West Campus Lane on June 24.Â
According to a timely warning sent on June 25, a day after the crime was reported to the UCSB Police Department (UCPD), the assault occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. As the survivor was walking on the road, the suspect first passed by on a bicycle. Over the next 15 minutes, the suspect approached the survivor three times, asking them questions the first two times, then striking the survivor on the buttocks the third time before fleeing.Â
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern adult male. He is approximately 35 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches in height, with a thin build, shaved head, brown eyes, clean-shaven to scruffy facial hair, wearing a tank top or cut-off gray t-shirt, shorts and a black backpack. The suspect was last seen in the area of Tierra De Fortuna Park.Â
