A fight took place on the 6700 block of Del Playa Drive on Oct. 4, leading to two men being stabbed. According to a Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office press release, the men were taken to the hospital for treatment, where both are expected to recover.
The incident occurred after a UC Santa Barbara Jort Club party, according to a post on the club’s Instagram story. The post, made at 2 p.m. on Saturday, clarified that the suspects are not associated with the club. Later that night, they made another story post stating that those injured “will not have long term injuries.”
“If anyone has videos of the fight, please [direct message] it to [@ucsbjortclub] and we will get it to the police,” the Instagram story read.
Detectives believe several suspects were involved with the incident and multiple people may have witnessed the fight, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office (SBCSO).
