Thursday, April 13: Pressing on in their quest to bring us all the pop punk we can handle, A.S. Program Board presents Halifax today at noon in Storke Plaza. As always, the show is free to the public, so pack a lunch and warm up your sing-a-long voice.

Friday, April 14: If you’re in the mood for something scary, head on over to I.V. Theater tonight to catch “Hostel.” Boasting an executive producer credit for Quentin Tarantino, this horror flick stars Jay Hernandez as one of three displaced backpackers in Amsterdam. Magic Lantern Films will host two screenings at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $4 a pop.

Saturday, April 15: Giovanni’s Pizza will be dishing out a rock ‘n’ roll medley like no other tonight. Just in time to kick off Spring Quarter, everybody’s favorite pizzeria will play host to a slew of bands, including Constants, Sexual Jedi, Anterland, Bodishattva and Animatronics. The show starts at 8 p.m. and donations are always welcome.

Sunday, April 16: There’s no better way to celebrate Easter Sunday than with a little, old-fashioned drag show. Tonight, head on down to the historic Roxy Theatre in Hollywood for a performance of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” This ongoing musical stage show stars Bijou Phillips and Donovan Leitch as they team up to revamp John Cameron Mitchell’s glam-rock classic. Tickets range between $30 and $35 and doors open at 8 p.m.

Monday, April 17: Today kick starts a six-day festival in celebration of all things artsy. The Primavera Contemporary Arts and Digital Media Festival incorporates a number of workshops, performances and exhibits that will take place through April 22. Today from 2:30 to 4 p.m., Amy Knoles will lead a free workshop entitled “Electronic Musician.” The event will take place in the College of Creative Studies’ Old Little Theater.

Tuesday, April 18: Whether you’re looking for more fodder for your “Brokeback” joke repertoire, or simply in the mood for a little man lovin’, we suggest you mosey on over to I.V. Theater tonight for A.S. Program Board’s screening of “Brokeback Mountain.” The Academy Award winning film, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger, plays at both 7:30 and 10 p.m. Admission is $3 for students.

Wednesday, April 19: Tonight marks the first screening in a series of events being held by the MCC and showcasing works sponsored by or featuring UCSB students. The documentary “No!,” which focuses on the history of sexual violence in the Black community, will be shown at 6 p.m. in the MultiCultural Theater.
