The Earl Warren Showgrounds came alive over the past two weekends as the annual Santa Barbara Fair & Expo returned with an ’80s Flashback theme. The event offered entertainment for all ages and thrill levels, featuring everything from go-karts and racing pigs to a towering Ferris wheel. As the sun set, the fairgrounds lit up with vibrant neon lights, adding a nostalgic glow to the evening festivities and drawing even more crowds after dark.

Visitors had a wide array of food and shopping options, including fair favorites like churros, turkey legs and fried Oreos. Local vendors also showcased handmade glasswork, clothing, toys and other merchandise.

“I went at night and the rides were pretty good,” third-year biopsychology major Binh Lam said. “We were surprised to hear of an event that was worth a weekend trip!”
