The Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce sponsored the annual Goleta Lemon Festival on the last weekend of September, attracting thousands of UC Santa Barbara students and families to Girsh Park. Attendees enjoyed a sunny day filled with zesty lemon treats and a variety of attractions including bounce houses, a rock climbing wall and bumper cars. Local organizations and businesses set up booths, while food trucks offered an array of lemon-infused drinks, sweet treats and savory snacks.

 

In addition to the delicious food, the festival showcased live entertainment, featuring local bands and performers who kept the energy high throughout the day. Attendees participated in games and activities, creating a fun experience for all ages. UCSB Athletics and other groups had booths where they handed out flyers and stickers to those interested in the various sports and recreation clubs on campus. Local Isla Vista businesses, like Island View Outfitters, were also present, distributing stickers, tote bags and other merchandise.

 

Many sponsors, volunteers, musicians and vendors came together to make this festival a resounding success. This exciting event not only served as a lively way to kick off the school year but also fostered connections among the diverse communities within Santa Barbara County, including students, families and residents alike.
