The man who died in a cliff incident on Saturday was identifed as 23-year-old Jacob William Parker.

On April 20 in the afternoon, Parker fell around 50 feet from a cliff behind 6625 Del Playa, Isla Vista. After an emergency service call was phoned at 2:35 pm,  he was carried from the beach up the Pescadero stairs. He was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Health but did not survive, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department said.

Parker lived in San Diego, California and graduated UCSB in 2023. He was in town for the university’s alumni weekend at a Phi Sigma Epsilon party.
