The UC Santa Barbara Police Department issued a timely warning on Nov. 23 for two incidents of stalking that occurred on campus property by the same individual.

According to the timely warning, the victims received “a number of unwanted electronic communications” from the suspect over an extended period of time. The UC Santa Barbara Police Department (UCPD) received a report of the stalking incidents on Nov. 22.

UCPD has since arrested the suspect. He is known to both of the victims and is not affiliated with campus, the timely warning said. UCPD described the suspect as an approximately 60-year-old white man with a greying beard, who is 6 feet, 3 inches tall and 330 pounds. No other information regarding the suspect was given.

UCPD is currently investigating the crimes in conjunction with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.
