I have spent the better part of my 18 years of being alive on this Earth wishing for the opportunity to publicly praise hot moms on a platform like the Daily Nexus. Today, my wish comes true.
I’d like to clear up a misconception around MILFs — an abbreviation for attractive older women, usually with children — that implies they are defined solely by their attractiveness. To that, I would like to quote Jane Austen (not a mother, but a MILF in her own right) as a rebuttal, who once wrote, “There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart.” So true Ms. Austen, you took the words right out of my mouth.
For those who are not British literature experts like I am, I’ll translate what Ms. Austen so eloquently said: “MILFs are so much more than just hot moms. They’re hot, nice moms.” They’re the backbone of our society. Without them, where would we be?
I’ve noticed that MILFs are criminally overlooked in comparison to their male counterparts. Don’t get me wrong, I adore hot dads (looking directly at you, Din Djarin), but something doesn’t sit right with how women are seen as disposable once they reach a certain age (aka when they’re in their 30s) whereas when a man is “past his prime age” he gets relegated to the sexy older man category. How come most women are not afforded the same luxury?This is undoubtedly due to the fact that our society devalues a woman who is past the age of 25. Thus, I’d like to argue that the appreciation of MILFs (who are typically older women) is actually a step toward progress. Enlightenment, even.
So, in honor of Mother’s Day, I implore you to pay your respects to the hot moms that walked so we could crawl. Neither their beauty nor kindness is retracted by their age or their motherhood, and they have gone underappreciated for far too long.
And to any future MILFs reading this, remember that it isn’t enough just to be super sexy (which you undoubtedly are), you also have to be kind to cement your place in the MILFdom.
