Body of College-Age Male Found On I.V. Beach

The body of a college-aged white male was found near the Camino Del Sur beach access point in Isla Vista at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kelly Hoover.

The body was found by a person who was walking on the beach, Hoover said in a press release.

The Isla Vista Foot Patrol (IVFP) is currently investigating the death and will not release the decedent’s identity until the next of kin is notified.

A preliminary investigation concluded that the death occurred recently and there are no clear signs of foul play.
