UC Santa Barbara students have long pined for a closer Target than the one over 40 miles away in Ventura. After a long time coming, Target announced Monday that it would be opening a location in Goleta in 2019.
The store will operate at the intersection of Hollister Avenue and Storke Road, replacing the K-Mart in Storke Plaza.
The location is approximately two miles from the UCSB campus.
