UC Police Department officers are responding to a report of a gunshot that occurred on the UC Santa Barbara campus at approximately 10:50 p.m.

“At this point, it is possible that a person may have shot himself,” UCPD Lt. Mark Signa said.

There is no ongoing threat on campus, according to Signa.

Officers are investigating the incident after receiving report of the gunshot near Parking Structure 22.

Signa said is not immediately clear whether any other people were involved or are injured.
