We all know and love SBMenus, the beautiful service created by two UCSB Alumni, Bryan Brand and Dusty Stutsman, whose mission is to make sure their fellow Gauchos don’t go hungry. This ingenious service has enabled myself on multiple occasions by delivering meals of the guiltiest variety right to my front door. The variety of this delivery service can bring you your local Isla Vista favorites or something from a bit farther away like a delicious Chile Relleno Burrito from Los Agaves or McDonald’s all day breakfast served up on a Saturday afternoon without even putting on clothes. SBMenus continues to be a college student’s best friend, but brace yourselves because SBMenus is introducing a new feature that will forever change the game of delivery service.

This new feature is much like the access card’s Dining Plus dollars on campus, where you can load money onto the card and use it at specific locations, such as the on-campus Subway or Coral Tree Cafe to purchase food. SBMenus is releasing its own take on this convenient service with their Chow Card. With this new resource, you or a family member can load money onto this card which can then be redeemed at one of the 80 restaurants SBMenus caters to within Santa Barbara, Goleta and soon expanding into Montecito. Hello, freshman 15! On top of this amazing feature, SBMenus has launched a new app for their service that includes in-app order tracking to keep an eye on those tantalizing tasties.

BUT WAIT…there’s more! Not only is SBMenus releasing this new feature, but if you’re daring enough you can submit a creative letter convincing your loved ones back home to get you a Chow Card. And the prize? A $100 pre-loaded Chow Card for first place and $50 for second! All entries must be submitted to chowcard@sbmenus.com,and deadline for submission is Oct. 31. So get to writing now so you can get to munching later. For more information on this contest or the Chow Card in general please visit sbmenus.com.
