Kidnapping, Armed Robbery Reported in I.V.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. today, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of the kidnapping of a 28-year-old woman from her residence on the 6700 block of Abrego Road in Isla Vista.
According to the police emergency radio traffic line, two Hispanic men entered her unlocked residence and held her at knife point. The assailants then took her to a nearby Union Bank where the victim turned over $7,000 to her kidnappers whereupon the kidnappers fled South.
The driver is reportedly wearing a white, long-sleeved shirt while the suspect passenger, according to the emergency line, is dressed in a green shirt. The vehicle is a 2005 tan Chevy Tahoe SUV last seen heading South.

Isn’t this something I should have found out through UCSB alerts and not on YikYak? We got a report of someone maybe having a gun and then no word on a kidnapping? That doesn’t seem right.
I got an email about it at 4pm.
I’m glad this woman was apparently not injured. Lock your doors day and night please.
