This past weekend, there were nine arrests in Isla Vista, including three for public intoxication, two for felony warrants and four for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Kelly Hoover, most of the arrests took place on the 700 block of Camino Del Sur. One of the two warrants was issued following a violation of probation. The other was issued after the culprit failed to appear in court after resisting arrest earlier in the year.

Finally, four suspects were arrested after allegedly providing alcohol and marijuana to 16- and 17-year-old girls, said Hoover.

According to Hoover, this was a quiet weekend for law enforcement in terms of dealing with people on the streets of I.V., as many student residents left I.V. for the weekend to visit family and friends for Thanksgiving.
