Persian New Year

The UCSB Persian Student Group celebrated the Persian New Year with a colorful array of traditional Iranian dishes and musical performances hosted in the MultiCultural Theater.

Persian New Year, also known as Nowruz, is regarded as the most important holiday in Iran. Festivities include plenty of traditional dishes and last 13 days in total. This year, Nowruz begins on March 20.

they have celebrated Persian new year in February?!
Persian new year is in March.
