A structure fire that began in an apartment complex on the 6500 block of Trigo Road early Sunday morning is suspected to be a case of arson.

Authorities speculated that the fire was started sometime between 5 and 5:30 a.m. by burning trash in the stairwell of the building.

Currently, the extent of the destruction and cost of the damages to the building are unknown. As of Sunday night, no injuries have been brought to the attention of authorities and no suspects have been detained, though the investigation is still under way.
