Gauchos will have an opportunity to discuss the University of California’s administrative policies with some of its top executives during an open forum next Monday in the Student Resource Building.

Nathan Brostrom — UC Office of the President’s Executive Vice President for Business Operations — and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Peter Taylor will field questions about the UC’s fiscal restructuring.

The discussion will focus on the logistics and application of the Funding Streams Initiative that seeks to allocate funding equitably across campuses and impose a new 1.698 percent tax on revenue-earning finance sources.

Senior Associate Vice Chancellor Marc Fisher and Associate Vice Chancellor Ron Cortez from UCSB’s Office of Administrative Services will also attend.

Brostrom is the UC’s chief administrator responsible for overseeing the system’s operating budget, construction projects and institutional advancement. Taylor, a former Lehman Brothers investment banker, manages the UC’s accounting and finance management.

The forum will take place Monday, April 16 at 4:30 p.m. in the SRB. Those interested in participating should R.S.V.P. to lynn.mclaughlin-hill@vcadmin.ucsb.edu by Friday, April 13.
