Gauchos look toward Postseason

Ten Gauchos will compete in the NCAA West Preliminaries this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The UCSB track and field team will compete in nine different events for the chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Iowa.

Nexus Sports Editors Say Their Goodbyes

From my position as sports editor this year, I got to see Gaucho sports in a way only a handful of people do. Unlike a school that attracts a handful of fans purely for athletics, UCSB fans tend to come here for the academics or the parties, only realizing later that, “Wait. We have Division-I sports here?”

It amazes me that our forefathers could anticipate genetic splicing and the creation of men with giant grizzly arms all of the way back in the 1700s, but I digress.

UCSB Hosts Horowitz

In one of the most contentious university events of the year, conservative activist David Horowitz will present the UCSB student community with his perspective on the Muslim Student Association tonight at I.V. Theater.
