UCSB third-year political science major Joe Lee pled guilty on June 22 at the Santa Barbara Courthouse to charges of felony burglary and receiving stolen property.

Lee was arrested on April 27 in connection with a stolen laptop and resigned from his recently elected position of representative-at-large on the Associated Student’s Legislative Council on May 19. Lee had previously served on the council as an on-campus representative.

According to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office, the judge sentenced Lee to 250 days in the Santa Barbara County Jail and three years of formal probation. His incarceration date has yet to be determined as of press time.
