Evan Patak — Volleyball
The former First Team All-American is now an integral part of the U.S. national team, and is sixth among all scorers in the World League.

Chris Pontius and Eric Avila — Soccer
Two members of UCSB’s 2006 National Champion squad are now thriving at the next level. Pontius is a serious contender for MLS Rookie of the Year, while Avila recently scored his first ever professional goal — a beautiful curving effort that was nominated for MLS Goal of the Week.

Michael Young, Ryan Spilborghs and Skip Schumaker — Baseball
Schumaker currently starts for the St. Louis Cardinals as their everyday leadoff hitter after a move to second base this season. Spilborghs continues to fight for playing time in a platoon with five talented Colorado Rockies outfielders. Young easily boasts the most impressive resume of the trio, as the five-time All-Star continues to get it done as he plays out his six-year, $80 million contract with the Rangers.
