Row, row, row your boat — an obvious reference to the plight of the workingman.
Gently down the stream — the stream, of course, symbolizes the never-ceasing, one-way road to his imminent death.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily — inebriated constantly to kill the pain and malaise, he lives under a false sense of happiness.
Life is but a dream — all of his existence was without meaning, as nothing in the world is real.

Tomorrow’s forecast: Pairing Nietzsche with children’s rhymes catches on. Spoiler alert: God killed Humpty Dumpty.
