My name is James Cassell. I am sad to see that Roger Crona has died (“Roger Crona (Or Was it Jason von Straussenburg?) Dies at 62,” Daily Nexus, Mar. 5). He was a good friend of mine from age 6 to age 18, when we lost track of each other. We shared many good times together, the likes of which you can only experience when you’re that age.
Somehow I always thought we might meet up again, someday, maybe later. For now, part of my childhood is gone, and I have no one to share those memories with. Roger was a good friend.

I just googled Roger to see if I could find him, sad to see he’s passed. I grew up with Roger as one of my brother’s best friends and a neighbor. He was actually a brilliant inventor, cobbling together the coolest things with bits a pieces. Jet bikes, air cannons, potato cannons, mechanical neon flowers that moved to the music at the Grande Ballroom, radar, a plasma jet engine, he made the subdivision an interesting place.
