A cynic might say that I failed all of you by not warning you about the ash-storm that hit Isla Vista this weekend. However I feel that the blame lies elsewhere, specifically the firefighting profession. It’s the year 2007, are you telling me that as a society we can watch movies on our phones and park our cars without touching the steering wheel, yet we still have trouble controlling fire? If those Geico cavemen were real, I think they’d be more shocked at our lack of progress with fire than anything else.
