Busted Bells

UCSB Facilities Management employee John Burree shuts off the Storke Tower bells from a power box in the men’s bathroom beneath the campanile. The bells rang once per second from approximately 7:50 p.m. until 8:47 p.m. Burree said the excessive ringing may have resulted from a defective timer.
