Editor, Daily Nexus,

I was thoroughly disappointed in the Daily Nexus’ article on May 30 (“Dr. Laura Puts Column on Hold,” Daily Nexus, May 30). I would appreciate it if all speculation, biases and opinions were presented as such and not as fact as they were in this article. The author made it blatantly clear that the Nexus has tensions with Dr. Laura. However, this does not give them the right to present whatever trash they can come up with on her as fact. For such a highly controversial and possibly damaging incident, in reference to the possibly forged and unverified MySpace page, more discretion should have been used in determining whether or not the information written upon was indeed true. In the future, I would recommend printing news articles with verified facts, instead of speculation filled with personal preferences.
