In response to Courtney Stevens’ column (“Liberty Belle: Drug Campaign Eliminates Role of Parents,” Daily Nexus, May 22), I have just one point to make.

Who is increasing funding for the drug-test initiatives? The White House, controlled by conservatives. Take a survey of liberals and conservatives in the nation. I will assure you, with dollar-to-bong hit odds, that more people that consider themselves conservatives would be in favor of this Orwellian intrusion than liberals. That’s right, the same people who want to decide for you that you are not able to have an abortion under your own cognizance.

Liberals are not the devil, nor are conservatives. It is amazing how that column went from logical and articulate to slanderous and stupid with such grace. A tip for your columnists: Start with the facts and reach a conclusion, not the other way around.

Perhaps the sex column should be five days a week.
