“Another Gay Movie” was the belle of the OUTrageous! ball, as audiences lined the streets of Santa Barbara to engage in what could possibly be the most un-PC sex comedy to date. Sure, political incorrectness can be fun and enjoyable. But shoving gerbils up one’s nether regions? That’s the kind of fun allegedly reserved for a certain salt-and-pepper-haired screen star named Richard.

In the opening scene, Andy – think Jason Biggs in “American Pie” – is lusting after his high school professor and fantasizing about his teacher filling his “virgin hole.” His wish later comes true when he is invited into his teacher’s online dungeon of sadism. Like the Internet scene in “American Pie,” Andy’s friends watch on in shock, as the film switches between the dungeon images and footage of straight boys showering in the men’s locker room. Rub a dub dub…

The other boys get into similar “sticky” situations. Hunky Jarod gets his penis stuck in a penis pump, nerdy Griff is publicly embarrassed as his blow-up ass deflates, and super-gay Nico has some “minor” troubles with an enema. This movie was like walking into a sex shop and ordering a lovely array of goodies – from anal beads to dildos, nothing was missed.

Nevertheless, we cannot forget the ladies. Super-butch Muffler is perhaps the most hilarious lesbian film character to date. As the queen of dykes, she had enough skills and thrills for the entire cheerleading squad. In another great un-PC moment, an Asian cheerleader proclaims to Muffler that, “You make Teaky Leaky… Me love you long time.” Additionally, Andy’s mother is actually a transsexual who looks frighteningly like Lucille Ball.

From porn stars to gay “Survivor” winners, the film was juiced up with celebrities and media references. From Ty Booty to Abercrombie & Bitch, the movie was a cheeky masterpiece. Rather than using American’s favorite pie, the movie explored an array of vegetables and a warm, gooey quiche. While the film was utterly explicit with sounds of insertion and copulation, it addressed many key issues facing the gay community. From references to the North American Man/Boy Love Association to scenes of gay love and intimacy, the movie definitely fit the bill for entertaining, challenging and educating the gay community.

The night after the film, I had the pleasure of attending the OUTrageous! reception, which also served as a fundraiser for next year’s festival. This scrumptious affair was full of stars, spectators and sweets, and it gave members of the community a chance to get to meet the actors, producers and committee members that made the festival possible. “Another Gay Movie” star Mitch Morris (Griff) and Jonah Blechman (Nico) were in attendance and enlightened me on the reason “Another Gay Movie” was created.

“We wanted to get this movie out to the college world. There are always emotional movies of coming out, but we wanted to poke fun at ourselves,” Blechman said. “This is the “Porky’s” or “American Pie” for our generation. We wanted to be different in that way.”

Released in 70 different cities and countless film festivals, “Another Gay Movie” will be coming out November 23 on DVD, guaranteeing that everyone will get a chance to sample this deliciously politically incorrect treat.
