The host of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” is moving to a new network Nov. – the UCSB Events Center.

In Jon Stewart’s only West Coast appearance this fall, Stewart will perform a 75-minute stand-up routine beginning at 8 p.m. on Nov. 18. UCSB student tickets, discounted at $35 each, go on sale at the Arts & Lectures Ticket Office, located next to Campbell Hall, this Saturday at 8 a.m.

General admission tickets for the 6,000 capacity UCSB Events Center will be available beginning Sunday at 10 a.m. for $70, $90 or $200 at the Arlington Theatre box office, located downtown on State Street, or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Stewart has hosted “The Daily Show” since 1999. In the past five years, he has had the opportunity to interview former President Bill Clinton, Senators John Kerry and Bob Dole, and movie stars such as Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks.

The comedian is also well known for writing, along with “The Daily Show” writers, America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction, which was number one on The New York Times Bestseller List for 15 weeks. Prior to “The Daily Show,” Stewart played himself on HBO’s “The Larry Sanders Show.”
