In case you missed Coachella, alternative rockers OneRepublic are bringing their act straight from the Indio valley to the SOhO stage tonight. HELEN STELLaR and Franklin for Short will also play. The show starts at 9 p.m.

Friday May 5
Riot footage, political pranks and scathing social commentary come together tonight at the Lost Film Festival in I.V. Theater. Presented by Magic Lantern Films, the festival features a traveling showcase of independent and experimental short films. Screenings start at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and admission is $4. Also tonight, KCSB is coordinating a live deejay night at Muddy Waters downtown. DJ Baby, Wildman Steve, Jaime Munoz and DJ Fatkid will perform at the event, which runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Saturday May 6
The two-day Cinco de Mayo festival at Plaza de la Guerra starts at 11 a.m. today, with traditional Mexican music and dancers on the main stage all day long. Artists and vendors will also be on hand to share their wares. Also tonight, day-trippers and tribute band fans can unite at SOhO as Janis Joplin tribute artist Mama Pearl and Hendrix tribute group Stone Free Experience take the stage at 9:30 p.m.

Sunday May 7
Break out your overalls and corncob pipe. Tonight bluegrass guitarist Jonathan McEuen brings his skills straight from the famous Rocky Mountain Opry at Red Rocks in Colorado to Ventura, as he headlines the Brand New Opry show at Zoey’s Caf
