The UCSB women’s tennis team ended their three-game losing streak yesterday by beating St. Mary’s College of California at UCSB’s RecCen courts. Santa Barbara won three singles points and the doubles point to propel them to victory.

The Gauchos’ team of Andrea Pintar and Leslie Damion was victorious in the first doubles match while Mio Fukushima and Kristen Wilson earned the second doubles victory of the day to secure UCSB’s doubles point.

In singles play, Pintar, Damion, and Wilson all earned points for UCSB while Fukushima was winning her match when the contest was called.

The win improves UCSB’s record to 8-10 on the season while St. Mary’s drops 7-13. Santa Barbara returns to action this Friday to host Long Beach State at 1:30 p.m.
