In a year that has brought a notable series of world-renowned acts to the Santa Barbara stages, patrons of dance in our small yet thriving local arts community have been particularly blessed. Critically acclaimed modern jazz company Twyla Tharp Dance graced the Campbell Hall stage last October, and tap-dancing sensation Savion Glover performed to a sold-out Lobero Theatre audience the following month.

But Tuesday night, for the first time in 36 years, Santa Barbara witnessed some of the greatest living dancers of our time in a program that took an awestruck audience at the Arlington Theatre by storm.
