For the men’s soccer team, 2003 has been a case of history repeated.

Once again, the Gauchos, off to a fast start, begin Big West play tonight against Cal Poly at Harder Stadium at 7 p.m.

“Cal Poly’s a very physical team. They play very hard and as a consequence, you’re going to have to earn everything you get,” UCSB Head Coach Tim Vom Steeg said. “It’s going to be a very emotional game.”
