Council To Vote at Next Meeting on Moritorium to Defer Future Construction Council Passes Plan for Old Town Rejuvenation; Hopes to Begin in Fall ’02

The Goleta City Council is considering suspending almost all construction in the new city for up to two years.

At its first official meeting on Monday, Feb. 4, the council directed Goleta City Attorney Julie H. Biggs, to draft a moratorium on development. The council will make a final decision at its next meeting on Monday, Feb. 11.
