Well at least one good thing may come out of the recent Goleta cityhood vote. Now (unlike before) there really is a city of Goleta, and since Isla Vista is, both in its soul and legally, NOT included in said Goleta, those of use lucky enough to live in I.V.’s scruffy dreamland can, with no feeling of ambiguity, put “Isla Vista” on our mailing addresses – as we perhaps should have been doing all along.
