RCSGD holds Grad Student Coffee Hour

The Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity (RCSGD) is holding a Grad Student Coffee Hour on Thursday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Graduate Student Association Lounge.

Health & Wellness is hosting “Choose Your Own Adventure: Sea Glass Jewelry Making” on Friday, May 16, from 12-2 p.m. at the Student Resource Building (SRB) south lawn. 

“Join us for a fun, hands-on event where we’ll craft beautiful sea glass jewelry and natural candles—all while honoring the Earth. UCSB Sustainability is holding ‘Planting New Beginnings’ on Friday, May 16, from 5-6 p.m. at the St. Michael’s University Church Community Garden.

Health & Wellness is hosting “Meditation Quest: A UCSB Campus Exploration” on Friday, May 16, from 5:30-6 p.m. at the SRB.

“Explore meditation and UCSB’s campus with this 4-day series. You will have the chance to enjoy a variety of outdoors spaces on our beautiful campus — all while experiencing the wonderful benefits of meditation at golden hour,” the Shoreline description read.

Dancesport at UCSB holds Mini Beach Ball

Dancesport at UCSB is holding a Mini Beach Ball on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Robertson Gymnasium.

“Dancesport at UCSB presents Mini Beach Ball, a beginner ballroom dancing competition! Beginner dancers from our club, other UCSB dance clubs, and from other schools will compete in a variety of ballroom styles in a fun and supportive environment,” the Shoreline description read.

The Edible Campus Program and Associated Students Environmental Affairs Board are hosting a “D.I.Y. Aromatherapy Sprays for Stress Relief” class on Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Take a break and recharge by creating your own personalized body and room sprays with essential oils. Learn the basics of aromatherapy and discover which scents can help you reduce stress and promote calm!” the Shoreline description read.

Health & Wellness is holding “Mindfulness for Wandering Minds” on Monday, May 19, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Campus Point Beach.

“We will start with a journaling exercise, then guide you through a meditation. Our neurodiverse-friendly environment will offer practical tools to engage in meditation and mindfulness exercises in a way that works for you,” the Shoreline description read.

The Latinx UCSB Network Association is hosting a Salsa Recipe Contest on Tuesday, May 20, from 12-1 p.m. at the SRB front lawn.
