EOP hosts MENASARC Meals
The Equal Opportunities Program (EOP) in collaboration with the Middle Eastern, North African, South Asian Resource Center (MENASARC) is hosting “MENASARC Meals” on Thursday, May 23, from 5-7 p.m. at the MENASARC in the Student Resource Building (SRB).
“Come together to share a meal, engage in respectful dialogue, and explore diverse perspectives amidst recent nationwide and global events impacting our student, staff, and faculty community,” the Shoreline description read.
Catering from Masala Spice will be provided. Prospective attendees may register on Shoreline.
COSWB holds “Dinner with a Stranger”
The Associated Students (A.S.) Commission on Student Well-Being (COSWB) is holding a “Dinner with a Stranger” event on Thursday, May 23, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Lagoon Lawn.
The event encourages students to form a “new real connection” with a stranger over dinner and a technology cleanse.
Free Chipotle will be provided. Students can RSVP through the COSWB Instagram page.
RCSGD hosts QT API-SSWANA Community Celebration
The Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity (RCSGD) is hosting its third annual “QT API-SSWANA Community Celebration” on Friday, May 24, from 12-2 p.m. at the SRB Lawn for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month in collaboration with the MENASARC and the Asian Resource Center (ARC).
“This event is to celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of LGBTQIA+ and API-SSWANA folks. People at these intersections have unique experiences that are often overlooked, so we want to honor these folks and help foster community over a celebratory meal that represents our diverse cultures,” the Shoreline description read.
Attendees are encouraged to wear cultural attire and bring food for the potluck.
Naked Voices a cappella holds Spring Concert
Naked Voices A Cappella is holding a spring concerton Friday, May 24, from 7-9:30 p.m. at Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall.
Naked Voices hosts concerts every quarter, and the spring concert will highlight its graduating seniors.
Armenian Student Association hosts sports tournament
The Armenian Student Association is hosting a sports tournament on Saturday, May 25, starting at 8 a.m. in collaboration with Armenian Student Associations at UC Los Angeles, UC Irvine, University of Southern California and others.
“This is a friendly exhibition game that participants partake in as an end-of-the-year tradition. We have both a soccer and basketball tournament between the various ASA’s who represent their own school,” the Shoreline description read.

Office of International Students and Scholars holds English Conversation Program
The Office of International Students and Scholars is holding an English Conversation Program class on Monday, June 3, from 12-1 p.m. at the SRB, conference room 3153.
“The English Conversation Program (ECP) provides an opportunity to develop English language skills while also allowing participants to connect with other members of UCSB’s international community,” the Shoreline description read.
This class features several activities designed to help with English proficiency and conversation.
C.A.B. hosts R.E.E.F. tour
The A.S. Community Affairs Board (C.A.B.) is hosting a tour of the Research Experience & Education Facility (R.E.E.F.) on Tuesday, May 28, from 1-3 p.m.
“At UCSB, the REEF has over 100 different species of marine plants & animals including swell sharks, & their developing embryons, sea stars, lobster and more!” the Shoreline description read.

Health and Wellness holds “Meditation for the Curious”
Health & Wellness is holding a “Meditation for the Curious” class on Tuesday, May 28, from 5:10-5:40 p.m. at the SRB Wellness & Women’s Center Community Room.
“Curious about mindfulness and meditation? You are welcome here. Join us each week for a guided meditation with a certified facilitator. No particular experience or beliefs necessary,” the Shoreline description read.

ARC, Health and Wellness host “Mindful Meditation”
Health and Wellness and ARC are hosting a mindful meditation class on Wednesday, May 29, from 11:15-11:45 a.m. with EOP.
“Practicing meditation can help manage stress and improve memory and focus. Certified facilitator Michael ‘Maka’ Takahara will lead us in guided meditation each week. No particular experience or beliefs are necessary,” the Shoreline description read.
