As the fall season is already underway, I would love to share a warm and creamy treat that I enjoy during the chilly weather. Whether you have it as a morning brew or a soothing drink by the campfire, a chai latte is the perfect way to add to your autumn season.

Ingredients:

  • 3 chai tea bags
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered cinnamon 
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla flavoring
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 cups of water 
  • ¼ cup of honey (optional)
  • A small amount of grated ginger root (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a small boil, then add tea bags and brew for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  2. Add cinnamon, sugar and vanilla. If interested in a sweeter flavor or stronger taste, add honey and ginger. Stir until sugar is dissolved and then add 2 cups of milk. 
  3. Once the drink is at preferred warmth, remove from heat. 

You can enjoy this drink by adding whipped cream and cinnamon as toppings. Either way, it makes a wonderful beverage to enjoy in the midst of this fall season.
